Ethical And Ethical Aspects Of Ethics - 2114 Words
Ethical Profile Ethics is an area of study that deals with concepts of what is regarded to as wrong or right (Brown, Harrison Trevino, 2005). This paper will focus on how I think through and determine what is wrong and right in my daily life. It will also give examples of ethical behaviors and how cultural heritage has shaped my values. Further, it will describe the nature of four ethical behaviors I have. In addition, it will identify a noble hero that has served as my role model as well as their characteristics. It will further describe how this hero has influenced my value system. Moreover, it will explain my implicit ethical decision-making style including how this course and my cultural heritage have served as influential factors.â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦In addition, they are very religious people hence good morals. The best part is that they did not obey these rules just because they were required to. Instead, they did it with zeal and passion that pervaded home with intense conversatio ns about conscience and the choices we make in life. My parents taught me the importance of making the right choices. As a child, I was aware that decisions can be of value as well of harm, and espousing different possibilities of the decisions we make was a very great foundation for me. I have never been afraid of making mistakes, but I dread the thought of making choices unconsciously. Worse, making decisions without taking others into consideration or understanding whether whatever I am about to do is for the best. From an early age, my parents taught me to consider how my decisions will affect the people around me. My father was always against unconscious decisions made based on personal agendas and security. I believe in doing what is right because that is what has to be done for the best course of action. To distinguish what is right from wrong, I first subconsciously analyze the consequences of the act in question. I take into account how many people around me will be affected and to what extent. If the probability of the occurrence consequence in action is very low, I follow my instincts as to whether the action is wrong or right. Afterward, I will critically evaluate the outcome of this which, I will use for future decisions.
